IFA 2026 Drew Three Lines for Wireless Charging: 25W, Multi-Device, Cooling

IFA 2026 wrapped up in Berlin in early September. In past years the wireless charging booths loved to brag about wattage, but the mood shifted this time — vendors stopped piling on raw power and started competing on who can feed a whole ecosystem of phone, watch and earbuds from one charging setup while keeping temperatures down. String together the WAWT, Anker, Motorola and UGREEN launches from that week and you can see the industry quietly drawing three lines.

Line one: 25W is no longer flagship-only, it is Android's default tier

Motorola unveiled the Moto Snap magnetic pad at IFA, supporting 25W over Qi2.2 and priced at 39 euros, about 45 dollars. WAWT's take is the sharp part: the point isn't the jump from 15W to 25W, it's that Qi2's 25W is spilling out of Apple's small circle into the mainstream Android accessory ecosystem. Around the same time Anker, Belkin, Zens and MOMAX all showed Qi2.2-certified 25W multi-device products, which tells you 25W has moved from early-adopter tier to baseline tier.

Line two: selling one charger loses to selling a whole ecosystem

Multi-device and 3-in-1 became the new default shape. Anker's MagStand station folds 25W wireless, a built-in 60W retractable cable and a 30W USB-C port into one unit that powers three devices at once; Zens pushed a foldable multi-device charger and Scosche a 4-in-1. WAWT's read is that the next phase of charging innovation has moved past headline wattage toward thermal control, form factor, power management and portability. Even Daily Objects' NODE is built as a modular magnetic ecosystem you dock and go. For buyers this means judging a pad by how many devices it can serve, not by its peak number.

Line three: cooling moves from passive materials to active fans and liquid

Sustained 25W makes heat an unavoidable wall, and passive tricks like graphite sheets and vapor chambers alone start to run out of headroom. At IFA, UGREEN's MagFlow Pro magnetic power bank claimed to be the world's first liquid-cooled Qi2 25W unit, using a CryoPulse micro-pump to circulate coolant and pull heat away, with a transparent window on the back showing the system at work; the company says it gets an iPhone 17 Pro Max to half in forty minutes. Anker's MagStand built in active cooling and claims to hold the phone around 37 degrees Celsius, under the red line and kinder to battery life. Cooling is turning into the new differentiation battleground.

The short version: in the second half of 2026, don't shop a wireless charger by wattage alone — see whether it can manage multiple devices and heat together. The same goes for brands: designs that lock into the Qi2 ecosystem and turn cooling into a subsystem beat raw wattage.
